You are very right about damage, anyone that has seen a minigun in action knows how devastating it truly is. someone has made a mod to suit your preferences, and this game is no exception. Other than that, it has ever been the case that if you are not satisfied with how the weapon balances are set in any Fallout game. Still, some things are just a little too nerfed, the base minigun being one of them, and likely that is because you can get it so early in the game.Īlso too far nerfed are submachine guns, though there is a mod out there that brings them more in line with where they should be. If things made sense, miniguns would vaporize any opponent not wearing power armor in a second or two (I've seen them vaporize big hardwood TREES FFS. So someone who prefers to be a cowboy and shoot pistols from the hip can still finish the game, as can someone who marches around in power armor with rocket launchers. they were always (well, excepting gauss rifles), balanced for style over damage potential. If the damage is too much, please consider using the MCM Menu or Settings Holotape, both introduced in 2.6.1, to reduce the damage to a level you feel comfortable with.
